Good Old Instincts and Plain Good Looks

This big beautiful grizzly bear was spotted near Radium, BC. Every spring, for as long as I can remember, a mama bear has brought her cubs to eat fresh grass and dandelions along the highway. They are an easy family to recognize because of their gorgeous colouring and blond highlights in their fur. Over the years, the female cubs have become the mamas and they in turn bring their cubs to the same place their mother’s had brought them. It’s always exciting to see in the spring how big the cubs have grown or if the mama pushed them out on their own and wether or not she has new cubs. Sometimes it’s sad because a trio of cubs have become a duo over the winter. The instinctual knowledge and wisdom that is passed down through the generations is simply amazing!
