On a cold day like today it’s good to remember that nicer days are just around the corner! Every spring Highway 93 has bears scouring the ditches for delicious dandelions! Who has been lucky enough to see Lake of the Hanging Glacier near Invermere, BC? If you have, you’ll know it’s an EPIC hike with an EPIC outcome! It feels like you are never going to get to the top but when you do…your breath is literally taken away. It’s a totally unbelievable view that almost feels like it can’t be real! Dog Lake is a great little hike up into the mountains of Kootenay National Park near Radium Hot Springs, BC. My boys and I hiked this one a couple of summers ago and we found this small boggy green lake at the top of the trail. We had a fun time finding snails and skipping rocks (and not so much – swatting the massive flies away).
There are so many beautiful places to discover – and paint! Hope you enjoy my newest painting.
